MARATHON
Privacy Policy
Last updated 14 August 2026
MARATHON is a running and cycling app. It keeps what a race needs and nothing else. There is no advertising,
no analytics service, and no third party inside the app — the only server it talks to is ours.
What we keep
- Your Apple identifier. Signing in with Apple gives us an identifier that is
unique to this app. We never ask for your email address, so we do not have one.
- Your username. The name your friends find you by.
- Your runs and rides. Time, distance and pace, and — when the phone had a
location fix — the route and its elevation.
- Your races. Results, and who you raced against.
- A push token, if you allow notifications, so we can tell you when someone
beats your time.
What we never do
- We do not sell or share your data. Not with advertisers, not with data brokers.
- We do not track you across apps or websites. There is nothing in the app that could.
- We never hand your route to another user. A friend racing your ghost receives
the times you ran and no places at all. Where you run is where you live; it stays yours.
What other people can see
Your username, your race times, and the results of races you ran against them. That is all.
Deleting everything
Settings → Delete Account removes your account, your runs, your routes and your results from our
servers, and withdraws the Sign in with Apple grant. It is immediate and it is not recoverable.
You do not have to email anyone to do it.
Where it lives
On our own servers in the European Union, in a Postgres database. Traffic is encrypted in transit.
Children
MARATHON is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly keep data from them.
